Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Author Dinner with Sandra Neily

  • Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club 156 Western Avenue West Boothbay Harbor, ME 04574 US (map)

As part of the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Author Series, Boothbay native Sandra Neily, daughter of past BHYC members the late Rupe and Biz Neily, will talk about her latest novel, Deadly Trespass, a Mystery in Maine.

“I wrote this book to take people who love Maine on a field trip into a world at risk," said Neily. "I wanted a story that urged readers on, so they’d arrive at the last page feeling like they had pitch on their hands and a clear view of what might be lost.”

Given the buzz Deadly Trespass is generating (see her reviews on Amazon), readers from Maine to Utah appreciate her work to bring to life Maine’s woods and wildlife with a wayward Labrador, returning wolves, and a middle aged narrator who attracts trouble.

Deadly Trespass won a national Mystery Writers of America McCloy award, was a national finalist in the Women’s Fiction Writers Association’s “Rising Star” contest, and recently was a fiction finalist in Maine’s “Joy of the Pen” competition, as well as a finalist in the 2018 Maine Literary Awards.

Locally, Neily’s novel can be found at Sherman Books, including Boothbay Harbor’s store.
